What We Provide

In Fairview Frontiers, M Health Fairview offers the largest research center specialized in conducting wearable device studies in the country. Our clinical trials are:

  • Short-term
  • High-volume
  • Non-invasive

Fairview Frontiers also includes a team of full-time researchers dedicated to conducting these wearable device trials. These researchers partner with M Health Fairview cardiologists, primary care doctors, and other specialty physicians to implement our studies.

Recruitment Process

Fairview Frontiers partners with the Fairview Research Recruitment Service to support patient recruitment. Wearable device clinical trials frequently require study subject participation from a variety of different races, ethnic backgrounds, and diagnoses. Fairview Frontiers partners with the Fairview Center for Community Health Equity to reach out to patients in BIPOC communities in the Twin Cities metro that historically have not participated in research studies, allowing for broader participation and more comprehensive data.

The Fairview Research Recruitment Service can identify qualified patients using advanced clinical reporting from the system-wide Fairview EPIC medical record system. Fairview conducts 2.1 million patient encounters every year at 10 hospitals and 50 clinics, and this large patient base supports active and successful study recruitment.

At Home, Outpatient, And Inpatient Studies On Diagnosed Patients

The Fairview Frontiers team provides a turn-key experience for wearable device manufacturers, with streamlined feasibility, contracting, regulatory and patient recruitment activities.
Our studies measure things like:

  • Cardiovascular health
  • Respiratory health
  • Endocrine & metabolic health
  • Neurological & mental health
  • Oncology
  • Musculoskeletal diagnoses
  • Women’s health conditions
  • Sensory health
  • General health diagnoses

Our studies are verified by auscultatory reference standards.

We understand the pace of technology research and can enroll large numbers of patients quickly. Operations take place in a newly expanded and patient enhanced facility in the Fairview Wellness Hub. This location has increased Fairview Frontier’s capacity for high-volume large wearable device studies.
