In Person - You can make a payment in person at the hospital or clinic where you received care.
Bills from M Health Fairview are addressed to the individual designated as the financially responsible party for the visit or the individual whose services are being billed, also known as a guarantor. While the guarantor may be the insurance policy holder, that isn’t always the case – a common misconception.
Note: A patient and/or guarantor is entitled to an itemized bill, please reach out to our customer service team and one will be provided upon request.
All patients deserve the best care, and that can mean M Health Fairview will utilize the support of our partners in care. In those circumstances, and depending on the location type, you may receive more than 1 bill for the care rendered.
Your bill will be based on the location and type of provider(s) you see. You may receive one or more bills depending on the care you receive.
In general, if you see a provider and receive any lab work at a free-standing clinic, you will receive one bill for all services performed. There are some scenarios where this may vary.
If you receive care at one of our hospitals or hospital-based clinics, you will receive a separate bill for each service and provider who treated you. For example, if you received surgical care in one of our facilities, you may get separate bills for anesthesia, surgeon, radiology, lab and pharmacy.
