M Health Fairview Clinic - River Falls moved this spring into a newly renovated facility in the heart of downtown. It’s located just blocks from the University of Wisconsin campus and will connect residents of all ages to state-of-the-art care.

Best of both worlds: hometown doctors, state-of-the-art care

M Health Fairview Clinic - River Falls offers Wisconsin residents access to the physicians they know and trust, while connecting patients to a broad network of leading-edge clinical care.

M Health Fairview’s River Falls clinic moved this spring to a convenient, downtown location just blocks from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls.

Formerly run by Vibrant Health Family Clinics, the clinic was acquired by M Health Fairview in 2019 along with two other clinics in Ellsworth and Spring Valley. Over the past two years, our health system has worked with existing leadership to add new services for western Wisconsin residents and transform the River Falls clinic into a healthcare hub located in the heart of downtown.

“We still employ the same doctors. Our nurses and physicians have been in this community for decades,” said Family Medicine Physician Kerith Lijewski, MD, medical director of M Health Fairview Clinic - River Falls. “We’re now able to offer the additional resources that a large health system can bring. We’re hoping that it’s the best of both worlds for our patients.”

Since its acquisition by M Health Fairview, the River Falls clinic has added weekly access to cardiologists, as well as general surgery services. The clinic has also been able to bring on a behavioral health clinician and will be adding a full-time therapist this fall. As the need for mental health care increases nationwide, new behavioral health services are filling a critical gap for western Wisconsin residents.

“We benefit from M Health Fairview’s strong, community-based behavioral health program. Patients can come to the same clinic and meet with a behavioral health provider who partners with their primary care physician,” said Lijewski. “It’s been a stressful time for everyone. Having access to seamless, integrated mental health care close to home is a huge benefit for our patients.”

The new clinic also continues services offered at the former Vibrant Health facility. These include family medicine, pediatrics, diabetes education, chronic care management, nephrology, geriatric care, medication therapy management, student health, sleep medicine, functional medicine, and hearing health. M Health Fairview aims to bring primary care and specialty physicians together in one convenient location.

Other specialties at the River Falls clinic include women’s health and walk-in care. M Health Fairview has also partnered with Summit Orthopedics to provide patients with access to sports medicine and rehabilitation services at the clinic.
