Best outpatient surgery centers: Four M Health Fairview locations earn nationwide recognition from Newsweek
For the second year in a row, Newsweek Magazine recognized four M Health Fairview locations on its 2023 list of America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
Four M Health Fairview outpatient clinic and surgery centers earned statewide honors on Newsweek Magazine’s 2023 list of America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
Released last week, this year’s list recognized 510 ambulatory surgery centers across 25 states. These centers serve patients who need a common or minor surgical procedure but don’t need an overnight stay in a hospital – they can return home quickly, often on the same day as their operation.
This year’s list included 12 locations in Minnesota. Our locations and their statewide rankings are:
- #4 – M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center - Maple Grove
- #5 – M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center - Minneapolis
- #8 – M Health Fairview Clinics and Specialty Center - Maplewood
- #10 – M Health Fairview Clinics and Specialty Center - Burnsville
Our Maplewood and Burnsville locations are jointly owned and managed in partnership with Surgical Care Affiliates.
M Health Fairview's specialty clinic and surgery centers serve as convenient hubs between our network of primary care clinics and hospitals. They offer patients easy access to dozens of specialists and perform routine surgical procedures while helping patients avoid potentially costly hospitalizations.
If needed, patients can visit multiple specialists in a single day at our specialty clinic and surgery centers, making their healthcare experience easier and more streamlined.
“Our team here really does put patients first; our staff makes sure a personal connection is made every time, with every patient, and at every encounter,” said Patti Soll, Director of Surgical Services at M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center - Maple Grove. “To go above and beyond is more of an expectation than a rarity. We have recruited the best so delivering exceptional care is reliable and consistent.”
To choose this year's 510 honorees across 25 states, Newsweek asked a panel of experts and survey participants to evaluate quality, performance, and in-state peer recommendations.
“I am so thrilled for the teams to receive this honor,” said Heather Sheridan, vice president of ambulatory specialty operations with M Health Fairview. “We are incredibly patient centered and partner daily to ensure safe, quality care. Consistent, focused and iterative improvements have gotten us here.”
