M Health Fairview Clinic – Highland Park will relocate this month to a new, expanded facility in the heart of the Highland Bridge development.

Highland Park clinic moves to Highland Bridge with expanded women’s and mental health services

Expanding expert care in the heart of a growing neighborhood: We will relocate our existing M Health Fairview Clinic - Highland Park to a new building within the Highland Bridge development at the end of February, with urgent care opening in the new space Feb. 27 and all other services opening Feb. 28.

The 26,000-square foot facility will anchor the newly built Highland Bridge Medical Office at 2270 Ford Parkway on the corner of Ford Parkway and Mount Curve Boulevard in St. Paul. Our existing clinic, located two blocks away at 2155 Ford Parkway, will close on Feb. 24 as we finish our transition.

The relocated clinic will provide primary care services – including family medicinewomen’s healthmental health, and urgent care. There will also be a Fairview pharmacy located on the first floor of the building.

M Health Fairview Rehabilitation Services, which offers physical therapy and sports medicine for a variety of conditions, including pelvic health, will be part of the facility. As part of the expansion, Rehabilitation Services will offer two new dedicated services: hand therapy and lymphedema therapy at the new location. Hand therapy will be available starting Feb. 28, and lymphedema therapy will be coming to the clinic soon.

The larger space allows us to expand our women’s health and mental health services. We will now be able to offer women’s health appointments five days a week, with an additional OB/GYN joining our clinic team, and we will begin to offer midwifery service to the community with our established Riverside midwifery group.

"We’re excited to expand our offerings in women’s health for residents of the growing Highland neighborhood and beyond,” said Heather Uhr, a women’s and children’s service line manager. “Expecting families will be able to access compassionate, personalized OB/GYN, midwifery, and family medicine care for all their needs from conception to well-child visits.”

We will also offer behavioral health care and counseling for children, teens, and adults through virtual and in-person visits. There will be a licensed clinical social worker at the clinic, Bobbi Jo Krieg, LICSW, who can provide long-term therapy for people of all ages – including family therapy and parent coaching – as well as referrals for more advanced care as needed.

Behavioral health clinician, David Mainguy, MSW, LICSW, will also be on-site at the clinic. Behavioral health clinicians are licensed mental health professionals who can provide assessment, short-term therapy, referrals for long-term or more advanced care as needed, and coordination with a patient’s primary care team. Conditions treated by our behavioral health and counseling teams include depression, anxiety, worry, panic, stress management, mood disorders, grief and loss, relationship and parenting concerns, coping with a new or chronic condition, and substance use concerns.

Our Highland clinic also offers Behavioral Health Home services for patients insured through Medical Assistance or a Prepaid Medical Assistance Plan (PMAP), with a mental health condition. This team-based service is designed to meet patients where they are at, by addressing social determinants of health, and setting realistic whole-person health goals.

Our expanded clinic is a reinvestment in the community that will make healthcare access easier than ever for the thousands of future residents in St. Paul’s Highland Park area, while ensuring uninterrupted care for existing patients.

"Our Highland Park clinic has been at its current location for over 25 years, and we’ve been a part of the neighborhood for over three decades," said Sara Johnson, MD, medical director of the Highland Park clinic. "We’re excited to grow into our new space down the street and continue to serve the growing Highland and Hiawatha neighborhoods for decades to come.”

The Highland Bridge Medical Office, including our new clinic space, was developed, designed, and built by Ryan Companies US, Inc. to meet sustainable building standards. It’s anticipated to earn a LEED Silver certification, which recognizes building projects that support the health and wellbeing of occupants, neighbors, and the environment.

Conveniently located along several major public transportation lines, the new building will also provide walkable access to the offices, shops, parks, and other amenities that are taking shape in the 122-acre Highland Bridge development.
