M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital earns national patient safety award for 9th consecutive year
For the ninth year in a row, M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital has been recognized as a 2026 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recipient by Healthgrades, a popular platform that Americans use when searching for a trusted doctor or hospital. Ridges was named among the top 5% in the nation for patient safety for seven years in a row (2020-2026), and in the top 10% since 2018.
Ridges is one of just a few hospitals in the state to receive the award, but it is the only Minnesota hospital to have earned the honor nine years running. The honor reflects the hospital’s sustained commitment to delivering safe, patient-centered care.
“This achievement belongs to every member of the Ridges team,” said Jenna Virant, RN, Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer at Ridges. “Nine years of recognition reflects a culture where people raise their hands, support one another, and remain steadfast in our mission to provide safe, compassionate, and exceptional care to every patient who walks through our doors.”
In addition to its recognition for patient safety, Ridges is:
- A five-star recipient for treatment of sepsis for 11 years in a row.
- A five-star recipient for treatment of heart failure two years in a row.
- No. 3 in Minnesota for critical care.
- Among the top 10% in the nation for gastrointestinal medical treatment for five years in a row.
