Mpls.St.Paul Magazine honors more than 100 M Health Fairview as Rising Stars
More than 100 M Health Fairview doctors in the first 10 years of their medical careers have been named Rising Stars by Mpls.St.Paul Magazine.
“We’re so proud of the way physicians from Fairview and M Physicians collaborate and create stability for the people we serve,” said Jaya Kumar, MD, MBA, an internist and nephrologist and chief medical officer with Fairview Health Services. “These young physicians are shaping the future of medicine in the Twin Cities, and they’re doing it with excellence and compassion.”
Honorees are selected through a rigorous process that starts by asking doctors to nominate other doctors who they would trust with their own – or a family member’s – care. From there, the top doctors are evaluated on peer recognition, professional achievement, and disciplinary history. Then they’re invited to participate in a panel evaluation with other nominated physicians in the same category.
The process resulted in 109 M Health Fairview doctors representing 37 specialties named to the 2026 list.
"These talented doctors represent the future of strong, compassionate care for our state and our neighbors," said Greg Beilman, MD, CEO for University of Minnesota Physicians, and a surgeon with M Health Fairview. "And they are providing that future for our patients today."
