Mpls.St.Paul Magazine names more than 200 M Health Fairview physicians ‘Top Doctors’
Early this year, doctors around the Twin Cities were asked to nominate other doctors they’d go to for their own care or that they’d recommend to a loved one.
That’s how this year’s list of Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Top Doctors began. From there, the doctors were evaluated on criteria, including peer recognition, professional achievement, and disciplinary history. Then the finalists were invited to serve on a panel that evaluated the other candidates.
Finally, the list of over 800 doctors was complete. We’re proud to share that more than 220 of those Top Doctors are in the M Health Fairview system – and that we once again have more Top Doctors this year than any other health system in the Twin Cities. Through their leadership and the care they provide for each patient they see, our honorees this year are reshaping medicine in Minnesota.
"It’s exciting to see so many of our doctors recognized by their peers for providing exceptional care, as it reaffirms their dedication to the community,” said Jaya Kumar, MD, MBA, chief medical officer with Fairview Health Services. “And we have many more compassionate physicians who share the commitment to providing high-quality, patient-focused care.”
Bevan Yueh, MD, MPH, an M Health Fairview otolaryngologist and CEO of University of Minnesota Physicians, echoed Kumar’s pride.
"These physicians represent the best of academic medicine because they deliver leading edge and compassionate care to patients with some of the most challenging medical conditions in our state," said Yueh. "They provide an incredibly unique service to Minnesotans."
