Two new pediatric specialty clinics in Chaska, Hudson bring advanced care close to home

We’re committed to bringing life-changing care to all Minnesotans. That’s why we’re making it easier than ever for children and families throughout the state to access advanced care with two new pediatric specialty clinics opening this fall.

The new M Health Fairview Pediatric Specialty Clinic – Chaska will open later this fall, on the Two Twelve Medical Campus at 111 Hundertmark Road.

The M Health Fairview Pediatric Specialty Clinic – Hudson opened Sept. 20, 2023, and is co-located with our adult heart care clinic in the Hudson Medical Center at 2651 Hillcrest Drive.

M Health Fairview Pediatrics is here to provide comprehensive, child-centered care in your neighborhood. We’re home to 40 primary care clinics, in addition to our specialty clinics, children’s hospital, and network of convenient community hospitals. We provide Minnesota’s broadest range of 60+ pediatric specialties, including several internationally renowned specialty care programs.

Our new specialty clinic locations will expand access to pediatric specialty care in the western suburbs and eastern Wisconsin, adding to our existing network of 10 pediatric specialty clinics located in Burnsville, Maple Grove, Minneapolis, and Woodbury.

The Hudson clinic offers pediatric heart care, led by cardiologists from the Pediatric Heart Center at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. Cardiology services will include on-site echocardiography and electrocardiogram (EKG) technology to diagnose and monitor a range of heart conditions.

“It’s our goal to bring pediatric healthcare to your doorstep, to your neighborhood or community, so that you and your family don’t need to drive far to get the care you need,” said Gurumurthy Hiremath, MD, an M Health Fairview pediatric cardiologist and associate professor with the University of Minnesota Medical School. “At our new outreach clinic in Hudson, families will be able to get a range of pediatric cardiology services, including an echocardiogram, an EKG, and expert consultations from specialists who are focused on care for children. Many of these services are typically available only at larger hospitals or specialty centers, but our new clinics are making them more accessible for busy families.”

The Chaska clinic will offer pediatric gastrointestinal care, led by Sarah Jane Schwarzenberg, MD, a pediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist with M Health Fairview, and a professor with the University of Minnesota Medical School. There are also future plans to expand the set of pediatric specialty care offerings at our Hudson location.

“We want to surround families with the care they need, from primary to specialty and acute care,” said Schwarzenberg. “We’re committed to bringing the care children need into their communities, making it easier for families to access quality diagnostic and follow-up care.”
