Bed-wetting is very common, but it usually is not cause for alarm. Many children who wet the bed sleep so soundly that they don’t wake up to go to the bathroom. Others have bladders that haven’t yet matured.

Bed-Wetting
Overview
Stress can even cause bed-wetting. Most children outgrow bed-wetting over time. If they don’t, or if the bed-wetting is a new condition, your child may have a hormone imbalance, chronic constipation, urinary tract infection, or diabetes.
Our approach
While most children outgrow bed-wetting, some children need extra help. If your child is older than seven and still wetting the bed, we can provide medications that limit the amount of urine produced by his or her bladder. Our multidisciplinary team of specialists can also address psychological issues that may be contributing to your child’s bed-wetting or any underlying medical condition, such as diabetes or a urinary tract infection.
