The neuro-oncology team with M Health Fairview Cancer Care is made up of experts in the diagnosis and treatment of brain and central nervous system tumors. Our care team is also specially trained to treat metastatic tumors that have started in other parts of your body and traveled to the brain or spinal cord. In addition, they are skilled in treating genetic tumor syndromes like neurofibromatosis.
Through clinical trials in partnership with Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, we are exploring ways to deliver novel medications, including chemotherapy, but also immunotherapy and other advanced treatments.
University of Minnesota Brain Tumor Program
Thanks to our partnership with the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, members of our care team are also part of the University of Minnesota Brain Tumor Program, which continues to be a national leader in the field of neuro-oncology by combining the principles of outstanding clinical care and education with leading-edge research. The program allows scientists and doctors to partner more closely and bring discoveries from the laboratory to patients, allowing for the discovery of more effective therapies for central nervous system (CNS) tumors. This approach is made possible by the collaboration of strong, multidisciplinary teams who work towards a common goal: curing brain, spine, and pain tumors using safer and more effective therapies.
