Overview
Calcium and bone disorders can stem from too little calcium or too much calcium and other minerals. Rickets, for example, is caused by a shortage of calcium or vitamin D, leading to softening and weakening of your child's bones. Hypercalcemia, on the other hand, is too much calcium, which can cause kidney stones and affect your child's heart.
