Epilepsy
Our approach
Our goal is for you to be able to lead a normal life without seizures and without side effects. Our team will work to create a comprehensive treatment plan for you, no matter your age or epilepsy diagnosis. We use a systematic approach that recognizes epilepsy must be treated continuously over many years, which can lead to a dramatic improvement in quality of life. We know the importance of providing a precise epilepsy diagnosis, so that the correct choice of medical or surgical therapy supports the related issues of psychological, social, educational and developmental, for a comprehensive treatment plan for each patient. MINCEP® Epilepsy Care represents the integration of services with M Health Fairview to provide specialized inpatient and outpatient epilepsy care directed toward men and women, children, teens and pregnant women.
University of Minnesota Medical Center is certified as a level 4 epilepsy center, the highest designation awarded by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC).
