Facial Paralysis
Overview
Facial nerve damage or paralysis is a devastating condition. This facial paralysis can interfere with eating, speaking, eye closure, facial movement, and even the ability to express emotion. Many people avoid going out in public, causing patients to isolate, and feel like they are suffering alone. Individuals and providers often feel frustrated looking for help and find treatment options to be limited.
The M Health Fairview Facial Paralysis Program is an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers offering state-of-the-art tools and expertise to comprehensively treat individuals suffering with facial paralysis.
Our approach
The M Health Fairview Facial Paralysis Program brings together the expertise of physicians, a facial and plastic reconstructive surgeon, and speech-language rehabilitation therapists who understand the complex anatomy, nerves, and muscles of the face. We offer a comprehensive treatment program that includes evaluation and a full range of rehabilitation, minimally invasive surgery, and other surgical treatment options for your facial paralysis.
M Health Fairview ENT specialists have a long history of clinical and research excellence, along with national leadership across multiple disciplines within otolaryngology and head and neck surgery that continues today. To provide the best care possible for our patients all under one roof, we work closely with providers from several different specialties, including audiology, neurology, and neurotology.
