These disorders result when our immune system mistakenly targets healthy tissues in the body, and may require intervention from a dermatologist or specialist. Autoimmune disorders relating to the skin include lupus, dermatomyositis, systemic sclerosis, morphea, vasculitis, pemphigus and pemphigoid.
