When your child needs emergency medical care, we are ready to help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital, our pediatric emergency medicine physicians, nurses, and medical staff can treat children with any type of injury or emergency medical need. We also offer access more than 60 pediatric specialties if your child needs specialized care.  

Our pediatric emergency department staff are all experienced and compassionate caregivers. Our team also includes certified Child-Family Life specialists who can address your child’s emotional needs during your visit and help them cope with their experience. 
  
Our dedicated pediatric emergency department is designed with kids in mind. Patient rooms in the pediatric emergency department have a hospital bed, a bench for family members, and a television. Our team also has an array of movies, toys, and snacks to keep children entertained while they wait.  
 
If your child is facing a mental health crisis, the nearby Behavioral Evaluation Center has dedicated facilities for children who need immediate support. It’s located next door to M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital, and has separate facilities for both pediatric and adult patients. Pediatric patients are referred to the BEC from the emergency department at the children’s hospital.
