The emergency department at M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center – East Bank is part of our flagship medical center along the Mississippi River on the University of Minnesota campus. Located in Minneapolis, we serve many adults and children in the city and from nearby communities who need care for an immediate or critical health concern. 

Our emergency medicine physicians, nurses, and medical staff are experienced treating adults and children with any type of injury or emergency medical need. Directions:

The East Bank emergency department is located on the southeast side of the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center building, facing Southeast Harvard Street and the East River Parkway. To get to the medical center, take the Huron Boulevard exit from Interstate 94, take a left on Fulton Street Southeast, and follow it until it merges with East River Parkway. From there, take a right onto Southeast Harvard Street. The emergency department drop-off will be on your left.

Parking Information:

The M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank patient/visitor ramp is located at 659 Delaware Street Southeast. If the patient/visitor ramp is full, or if a patient or visitor has limited mobility, please follow the signs to the valet parking located at the main hospital entrance. Valet parking is available at this location 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Discounted parking pass options are available for patients and visitors. They can be purchased at the valet cashier desk at the main hospital entrance.
