About this Location

Our talented multidisciplinary team performs routine and complex head and neck cancer surgeries and treatments to address a variety of conditions.

Patients receive timely and personalized care from a fellowship trained head and neck surgeon and a fellowship trained head and neck radiation oncologist. Patients are seen simultaneously by both providers to establish a team based approach to an appropriate treatment plan.

Patients are supported by our RN Care Coordinator and our Speech Language Pathology team who have a specialized interest in the care of head and neck cancer patients. We offer same-day coordinated visits for imaging, labs, other testing, and consults with our multidisciplinary team.

Directions:

M Health Fairview Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Cancer Clinic is located on the campus of the University of Minnesota, within the M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC). Please give yourself extra time to navigate University traffic, arrive at the CSC, park, and check in for your appointment. For the best parking options, enter the CSC valet/arrival plaza from Fulton Street, where attendants can assist you.

If driving to the CSC via I94, use Exit 235B (Huron Boulevard), then turn left onto Fulton Street. The CSC will be on your right, including the main arrival plaza used for patient drop-offs (right lane) and valet service (left two lanes).

You may wish to consult a map of East Bank parking options and shuttle stops.

OTHER TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:

Light Rail:
The closest light rail stop to the CSC is Stadium Village, which is a four- to five-block walk with no shuttle service. Alternatively, those taking the METRO Green Line are encouraged to get off at the East Bank Station and walk south on Harvard Street to the Health Sciences Education Center. From there, take the Stadium Superblock Circulator, which runs at regular intervals and transports passengers to the front of the CSC.

Shuttle:
Shuttles run between the CSC and other campus locations, including M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center and M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital. See details here.

Bicycle:
Several bike racks are available around the CSC on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Parking Information:

Valet:
Access valet services from the main arrival plaza on Fulton Street. Available to all visitors from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Please follow posted signage. Upon departure, pay with cash or card at the valet pay station in the main lobby on the first floor. Tips are not expected.

West Lot:
This surface lot is located west of Ontario Street, across from the CSC's main entrance. It is the most convenient self-park option. Signage will indicate when the West Lot is full. In those cases, visitors should consider using valet or the Oak Street Ramp.

Oak Street Ramp:
Located west of Ontario Street, one block north of the West Lot. Use the ramp entrance on Ontario Street (not Oak Street) and follow the center lane marked "M Health Fairview" to ground-level spaces reserved for CSC patients. Disregard signage indicating the ramp is full or by reservation only, this does not apply to CSC patient spaces. You will receive a ticket upon entering. After your appointment, bring your ticket to the “valet pay station” in the CSC’s main lobby to receive a reduced rate. This reduced rate applies only to the Oak Street Ramp.

Street Parking:
Limited metered spaces are available on the streets surrounding the CSC. These are city-managed and not affiliated with M Health Fairview. Please refer to posted signage for restrictions.

ADA Parking:
Visitors with mobility limitations are strongly encouraged to use valet service or designated spaces in the West Lot. Additional ADA-compliant spaces are also available in the Oak Street Ramp.

Multi-Use Pass:
Frequent visitors can save time and money with a multi-use pass for valet service or self-parking in the West Lot. Passes can be purchased at the “valet pay station” in the main lobby on the first floor.
