At M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital, patients and families have access to some of the area's most advanced heart services at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. These include a nationally recognized emergency heart attack program, state-of-the-art imaging services, a women's heart program, and our CORE program for heart failure and vascular disease management. University of Minnesota Health Heart Care cardiologists and specialists see patients seven days a week at the 6405 France Ave. S building at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. As part of M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital's Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center, telestroke technology is offered for patients being evaluated for a stroke. This technology allows stroke specialists to evaluate the patient and plan treatment even when the doctors are miles away. With telestroke technology, it enables neurologists to coordinate with the on-site care team and examine patients in real time via video conferencing and review the results of brain-imaging tests conducted in a patient's local emergency department. Doctors have the ability to manipulate the camera position remotely- which helps when examining patients and diagnosing stroke symptoms- and can review the results of brain-imaging tests conducted in the local emergency department.

General Visiting Hours for Adult Inpatients : 8 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. (Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Emergency Departments do not have restricted visiting hours)
There are many services that will help make your stay here more comfortable.
- Your mail, gifts, food and flowers deliveries from friends and family will be handled by volunteers at each site.
- Free Wi-Fi is available in patient rooms and at our library on the lower level.
- Coffee, stamps, cash machines and more are conveniently located throughout the hospital.
- Fairview Pharmacy is located on-site for small items you may need as well as your prescriptions.
- Shopping centers, grocery and book stores and restaurants are within a block or two of the hospital campus.

Fairview Southdale Hospital is conveniently located off of Highway 62 and France Avenue South in Edina.

From North: Take Highway 35W south to Highway 62 (Crosstown). Follow Highway 62 west to France Avenue. Turn left onto France Avenue. Proceed one block to 65th Street. Turn right on 65th Street to park in the Skyway Ramp. Turn left on 65th Street to park in the East Ramp.
From South: Take Highway 35W north to Highway 62 (Crosstown). Follow Highway 62 west to France Avenue. Turn left onto France Avenue. Proceed one block to 65th Street. Turn right on 65th Street to park in the Skyway Ramp. Turn left on 65th Street to park in the East Ramp.
From East: Take Highway 62 (Crosstown) west to France Avenue. Turn left onto France Avenue. Proceed one block to 65th Street. Turn right on 65th Street to park in the Skyway Ramp. Turn left on 65th Street to park in the East Ramp.

Fairview Southdale Hospital offers two pay parking ramps on campus. Patients and visitors to the hospital should park in either the East Ramp or the Skyway Ramp.
The Skyway Ramp, located across France Avenue from the hospital, is connected via skyway on Level C. This ramp is a convenient option for the heart clinic, weight loss clinic, surgery patients, and all visitors.
Note: The vehicle height clearance in the Skyway Ramp after the first level is 6 feet 11 inches.
Parking in non-hospital areas, including adjacent surface lots like the Southdale Medical Building, can result in a towed vehicle.
Valet parking is available from 5:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Attendants are stationed at Door 2 at the Skyway Lobby entrance, located off of 65th Street.
