Joy is Born Here: The Birthplace at Masonic Children's Hospital delivers thousands of babies every year but we never lose sight that each and every birth is unique. We work closely with you and your health care provider to support the choices you make about your child's birth to ensure your experience is exceptional.

- Highly trained and caring staff, focused on the safety of you and your baby
- Therapeutic labor techniques and support tools, including birthing balls, peanut balls, squatting bars, and essential oils
- Postpartum acupuncture and hand/foot massages
- Latest options for pain relief, including nitrous oxide
- Lactation support. Certified, caring lactation consultants are on hand to assist and support you for successful breastfeeding. All registered nurses in The Birthplace have had at least 20 hours of education about lactation
- Private rooms with free Wi-Fi
- Televisions in every room
- Refrigerator in every room

Safety is our top priority for you and your baby’s care.
Babies born at the Masonic Children's Hospital Birthplace have immediate access to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), if needed. Should your baby arrive early or require additional care after delivery our team offers neonatology care. Our NICU is staffed 24/7 by our team of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and University of Minnesota Neonatologists at Masonic Children's hospital.
If your baby should require a higher level of care our health system includes a Level IV NICU, the highest level of NICU care, located here at Masonic Children’s Hospital.
If your pregnancy is medically complicated, you are expecting multiple babies, or require a closer oversight during and after pregnancy, M Health Fairview has Maternal Fetal Medicine Centers located in Minneapolis, Edina, Maplewood, and Burnsville. Our providers specialize in high risk, medically complicated pregnancies, and partner with your primary prenatal care provider to create treatment plans to keep you and your baby safe before, during, and after delivery.

Tours:-
In-person tours are available at the Birthplace at Masonic Children's Hospital. Tours are available every Tuesday and Saturday. A Spanish led tour is offered every second Saturday of the month at 11 a.m. Habrá un recorrido en español el segundo sábado de cada mes a las 11 a.m.

The Birthplace at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital is conveniently located within the University of Minnesota Medical Center and Masonic Children's Hospital South Building, which is on the corner of Riverside Avenue and 25th Avenue on the West Bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.

Patients and visitors may utilize the Green Parking Ramp, located underneath the Masonic Children's Hospital.
Valet parking, located at the Masonic Children's Hospital entrance, is available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Discounted parking pass options are available for patients and visitors. They can be purchased at the valet desk.
