Your required dose may change based on factors such as your, health, diet, or other mediations or supplements you are taking. Anticoagulant medications slow down clotting in your blood. These medications are often prescribed to reduce the chance of having a serious health event, such as a heart attack or stroke, for those at high risk of getting clots.
