The NCS test is done by taping electrodes to the skin and stimulating the nerves with a small amount of electricity.

The EMG is done by inserting a needle directly into the muscle. Electrical signals from the nerves and muscles are processed and translated into graphs, sounds, or numerical values for interpretation by a specialist.

Neuromuscular ultrasound is done by applying a cool gel on the skin of the arm or leg that is studied, and using a probe tool that gently scrolls on the gel and allows the specialists to take pictures of the nerves and muscles that need to be studied. The test is comfortable and painless.

Our electrodiagnostic lab features a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine and is one of the few labs in the US that offers this diagnostic test for neuromuscular disorders. Our laboratory is certified by the American Association of Electroneurodiagnostic Medicine.
