When to Choose Urgent Care

Urgent care is designed for illnesses and injuries that need prompt attention but aren't life-threatening. You can also call ahead and our care team will point you in the right direction.  Dial 1-855-FAIRVIEW (1-855-324-784) for more information.

When Urgent Care May Not Be the Right Choice

Some symptoms need a higher level of care than urgent care can provide. Go to the emergency room or call 911 if you're experiencing:

  • Chest pain
  • Stroke symptoms
  • Severe head injury
  • Severe bleeding
  • Major burns
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Seizures
  • Loss of consciousness

If you or someone else is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

How M Health Fairview Urgent Care Works

Walk In or Reserve Your Spot

Walk-ins are always welcome at our urgent care locations. If you'd rather not wait once you arrive, use our On My Way tool to reserve your spot in line, or schedule online via MyChart to plan your visit around your day.

If you let us know you are coming through On My Way, you can wait in the comfort of your own home until your estimated arrival time. When you arrive, head to the front desk and you’ll receive care as quickly as possible. Please note that estimated times are subject to change and if you arrive more than 30 minutes after your planned arrival time, your reservation will be cancelled and you will be treated as a new arrival.

Virtual Urgent Care

For many common conditions, a virtual visit is all you need. Virtual urgent care is a good fit for symptoms like:

  • Cold
  • Cough
  • Allergies
  • Rash
  • Pink eye

Appointments are made available each morning for same-day care and are filled on a first come, first served basis. Check to see if there are any virtual urgent care appointments available today.

If your provider determines your condition needs hands-on evaluation, testing, or treatment, they'll recommend an in-person visit and help you get there.

Learn more about eVisits.

Just need a lab test? If you're mainly looking to confirm or rule out something like the flu, strep, or a UTI, an eVisit is often the faster option. Your provider can order the lab test as part of your eVisit, so you can get it done without sitting in an urgent care waiting room.

Insurance and Payment Information

We accept most major insurance plans as well as Medicare. Self-pay options are available for patients without coverage. Copays are collected at the time of your visit. For questions about your bill or insurance coverage, visit our insurance information page.
