Our SMS Programs

Fairview Health Services uses text messaging to communicate with patients on topics related to their care. You may receive messages related to discharge instructions, appointment reminders, referral scheduling, health screenings, wellness visits, and other care-related notifications.

How You Opted In

You may have enrolled in our text messaging program by providing your mobile number and consent during a clinical visit, through your MyChart account, or by texting START to one of our short code numbers.

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Fairview Health Services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your care activity and the program(s) you are enrolled in. You may receive multiple messages per month.

Fees

Fairview Health Services does not charge for text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Please contact your carrier for details.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages from a specific Fairview short code at any time. You will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive messages from that program. You may re-enroll at any time.

By enrolling in our text messaging program, you acknowledge the risks associated with sending and receiving health-related information via SMS/MMS, including that such communications may not be fully secure. Fairview Health Services will not be liable for any delays or failures in message delivery, which is subject to your network operator and mobile device.
