Otolaryngology
Overview
Otolaryngology (also known as ear, nose and throat, or ENT) is the branch of medicine that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of ear, nose, throat, head and neck problems.
Our approach
We have a long history of clinical and research excellence, along with national leadership across multiple disciplines within otolaryngology and head and neck surgery that continues today. To provide the best care possible for our patients all under one roof, we work closely with providers from several different specialties, including audiology, neurology, and neurotology.
Our patient care is based on leading-edge research at the University of Minnesota—research that is not done anywhere else in the region. Medical discoveries can transform lives and create a healthier future. Our physicians and researchers continually pursue and develop better treatments for patients. Our active research program allows us to offer patients the most recent clinical advances and has played a large role in making us a top choice for ear, nose, and throat care.
