Our team of physicians are national leaders in sports medicine. We serve as official team physicians for University of Minnesota Gopher athletic  teams and the Minnesota State High School League. All of our experts have certified qualifications in sports medicine, and some are also University of Minnesota Medical School professors at the leading edge of research, practice, and education.

Our M Health Fairview sports medicine specialists work as a team, just like young athletes do, and their teammates include physicians, certified athletic trainers, and physical therapists. We focus on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, as well as injury prevention. Our goal is to treat active young people and athletes at any level so they can return to their sport or activity as quickly and safely as possible. 

Because each patient’s situation is unique, our treatment is customized for their particular concerns and challenges. We work with kids and their parents to create an individualized plan, which may include bracing, physical therapy, sports psychology, injections, medications, or surgery. Together, our experts will put your child’s individual needs, goals and dreams at the center of all they do.

Our sports medicine care providers are available at clinics across the Twin Cities area, so it’s easy to find a location that is convenient for your family. You may be referred to our sports medicine program by your primary care provider, an athletic trainer, or coach. You can also request an appointment without a referral or access our services through our walk-in clinics, should you have an urgent need. We aim to be available when your child or adolescent needs us, since many injuries should be treated as soon as possible for the best outcome.
