M Health Fairview Rehabilitation Services welcomes caring for patients with acute spine pain through our specialized EXPRESS acute spine physical therapy service, offering timely assessment and expert physical therapy treatment for optimal clinical outcomes and quality of life.

APPROPRIATE PATIENTS

Nonsurgical patients with or without stable radicular leg or arm symptoms PRESENTING WITH any of the following conditions:

• Acute (<21 days from onset) or acute on chronic low back pain
• Acute thoracic pain
• Acute neck pain

Note: Patients with progressive neurological symptoms should not be referred to this program.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Evaluation and treatment of acute spine pain (as defined above) with a specialty trained Acute Spine Physical Therapist.

• Prompt patient scheduling and appointment offered by next business day.
• For Physician orders received after 4 p.m. M-F, patients will be contacted the next business day for appointment scheduling.
• Patients will be scheduled at the closest available location.
• In-person or virtual visit options available.
• Physical therapy treatment averages four visits or less.
• Follow-up care coordination with referring provider if patient does not respond to PT in five visits.
