Tympanostomy tubes (ear tubes) are very small, hollow cylinders inserted into the eardrum to help ventilate. They help prevent ear infections and other issues.
Ear tubes are tiny tubes placed inside the eardrum. They are often associated with preventing repeated ear infections in children, but are also used for adults or any patients experiencing hearing loss due to persistent fluid build-up, or Eustachian tube dysfunction.
