Residential is an intensive treatment environment where patients live for 28 days. The therapeutic process supports recognition and acceptance of the damaging effects of alcohol and/or drugs on lives and relationships. The treatment team collaborates with each patient to begin putting the pieces of their lives back together and start a new path in recovery.
All staff are trained in best practices for SUD treatment including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Informed Care. MHealth supports extensive continuing education of staff and maintains high clinical standards.
Residential Treatment Program
Our residents receive 30 hours of treatment per week including group therapy, individual counseling and spiritual care. Patients also enjoy University of Minnesota faculty lectures that provide information about the science of addiction and mental health. Evenings include peer recovery support meetings and structured activities.
Continued Care for Successful Recovery
All patients are offered and provided support to create an aftercare plan that meets individual needs for continuing their path of sobriety.
Staff and patients partner to coordinate aftercare plans that may include sober living and/or intensive outpatient or outpatient treatment. There are a variety of programs offered through MHealth as a step-down including day, evening, higher and lower intensity outpatient programming. Staff are happy to assist in care coordination to community programs outside of the MHealth system.
