Next Step Program

Schedule Appointment
Created by staff at M Health Fairview Sports and Physical Therapy, Next Step is a five-week, 10-session program that bridges the gap between your in-clinic sports injury rehabilitation program and your return to high-intensity sports. Next Step helps you move beyond rehabilitation and return to your sport safely while reducing the likelihood of re-injury.

Overview

Next Step helps you move beyond rehabilitation and return to your sport safely while reducing the likelihood of re-injury.

Our approach

Injury and surgery affect the body in many ways. For athletes, muscles and nerves must often be "retrained" to work together again and be strengthened to withstand activities like sprinting, jumping, and cutting. Our physical therapists and certified athletic trainers will work with you both one-on-one and in a group setting to improve your strength, endurance, agility, coordination, speed, and confidence. On average, participants improve agility, vertical jump, and hop scores by 20 percent at program completion.

Next Step training includes:

  • Pre- and post-program testing for agility, jumping, and speed
  • Fundamental skills retraining
  • Increased body awareness
  • Sport-specific drills
  • Agility training
  • Power development
  • Advanced strengthening

The cost of the program is $300 and is due in full at the start of the session. To find out if this program is covered by your health savings/spending account, check with your benefits administrator.

Due to limited space, those who register less than two weeks prior to the class start date are subject to availability. Physician approval is required for post-surgical participants.
