Patent Foramen Ovale Closure

Schedule Appointment

The closure of a patent foramen ovale (PFO) is a minimally invasive procedure, typically guided by a catheter.

Overview

A patent foramen ovale (PFO) is a small, unclosed, flap-like opening between the upper chambers of the heart. It needs to be closed surgically. During a PFO closure, a provider will use a catheter to put in a specialized device that plugs the opening.
