The Cancer Risk Management Program is designed to help young patients and their families evaluate their risk of developing cancer and work with them to manage this risk.
Experts in our program include and advanced practice nurse, genetic counselors, and pediatric oncologists. These providers conduct individualized cancer risk assessments and work together to design personalized cancer screening and prevention plans for patients and their families.
Our approach
Our program is designed for children with an increased risk of cancer for family history reasons and for children who have developed a cancer that may be part of a hereditary cancer syndrome. Family history concerns include early age of diagnosis of cancers or multiple cancers in the family. The goal of the clinic is to identify children who may at risk for cancer and work with families to prevent cancer or catch it early so that the outcome is the best possible.
