Delivered via headphones, The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) sessions are facilitated by an Occupational Therapist either in person or remotely.

This program is appropriate for both children and adults and has shown benefits for individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, sensory sensitivities, and other challenges affecting daily functioning. SSP is designed to: 

• Reduce sound and light sensitivities
• Improve your body’s ability to process information you hear
• Improve your ability to regulate behavior
• Improve social engagement behaviors

To be eligible for SSP, patients must demonstrate a functional impairment—such as difficulty participating in school or work, or challenges with self-care. Additionally, any mental health diagnoses must be actively managed by a licensed mental health professional.
