Substance Use Disorder Outpatient Treatment Program
Overview
Our treatment philosophy of care is that everyone’s journey out of substance use is unique. Treatment for substance use starts with a comprehensive assessment which recommends the level of care suited to your needs.
Our approach
Our programs are designed to help patients understand how alcohol and/or drugs can cause harm in their lives and relationships. All our programs are available via telehealth services. Planning and intervention reflect an individual's goals for recovery. By working towards these goals, people begin to put the pieces of their life back together and start a new path in recovery.
Our outpatient treatment programs include:
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
The Intensive outpatient program includes 9 hours of group therapy per week, individual counseling, education on the impact substance use has on our minds and bodies. The program offers family meetings and counseling. We provide a plan, based on structure and accountability, to live a better life free from using drugs and alcohol.
Outpatient Treatment
Outpatient treatment is a step down from intensive outpatient. Outpatient treatment provides 4-7 hours of group therapy per week as well as individual counseling, education, and family involvement.
Recovery Management
Recovery management meets once per week for 2 hours. Clients develop their personalized Recovery Care Plan to assist them as they prepare to leave treatment and continuing their lives in recovery and freedom.
Co-Occurring Outpatient Groups
Clients who deal with a substance use disorder and a mental health, diagnosis can benefit from working with a dual licensed therapist to address both disorders together. In addition to the evidence-based therapy and education provided in all our programs, clients will learn how these disorders interact and develop skills to manage their symptoms while getting freedom from the use of alcohol or drugs.
Karen Community Recovery Program
M Health Fairview offers the first culturally specific Karen substance use disorder treatment in the US. Karen Recovery Program was developed with the Karen Organization of Minnesota (KOM) to provide addiction treatment with a culturally specific approach and Karen peer recovery support.
Senior Recovery Program (55+)
The Senior Recovery Program is an intensive treatment program for patients that are age 55 or older with a substance use disorder. A Senior Co-Occurring Program is also available for patients that are 55 or older with a substance use disorder and another mental health diagnosis. Both programs accept Medicare.
