Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Intensive Outpatient Program
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a treatment that was developed for individuals who have difficulty managing their emotions, and who engage in impulsive behaviors that negatively impact their lives.
Often these individuals are suicidal and/or engage in self-harm behaviors. DBT is a comprehensive treatment that is evidence-based, which means it has been shown in multiple research trials to be effective in helping individuals recover from these problems and improve their quality of life.
Our team is skilled at assessing and treating individuals who may be experiencing substantial emotional distress. We offer full-model, Linehan-adherent DBT programs consisting of individual therapy, skills groups, and phone coaching, along with consultation teams for our providers. We treat adolescents and adults, ages 13 and up. In our program, DBT treatment typically requires a six-month commitment and involves 1-hour of individual therapy and 2-hours of skills group per week. Our program is certified by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
